FRANKLIN, TENN. July 1, 2021 – Lineage Bank in Franklin, Tennessee, has announced the addition of their newest board member, world-renown surgeon Dr. Rolando Toyos, M.D.
“Dr. Toyos is one of the most respected surgeons in his field, and he will make a fantastic addition to the board of Lineage Bank,” said Chairman and President Kevin Herrington. “His community involvement throughout his career is extensive, and he embodies the community spirit we pride ourselves on here at Lineage Bank.”
Dr. Toyos is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and specializes in Cataract Surgery, LASIK, Glaucoma, and Dry Eye. Throughout his career, he has completed over 35,000 cataract surgeries, 20,000 glaucoma laser treatments and 25,000 LASIK surgeries. Dr. Toyos is the inventor of the procedure Intense Pulse Light IPL for Dry Eye Disease. He has trained hundreds of surgeons both nationally and internationally on surgical techniques, medications, and new technologies.
In addition to authoring several papers and best-selling books, Dr. Toyos has worked with various professional sports teams and organizations and was the President of the Sports Ophthalmology Society of America. He is the only eye surgeon in Tennessee voted Top Doc by Trusted Lasik Surgeons.
Dr. Toyos currently owns and operates Toyos Clinic, which specializes in three areas – Vision, Optical, and Aesthetics. There are six Toyos Clinic locations throughout the United Sates, four of which are located in Tennessee. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from The University of California, Berkeley and Stanford University, respectively. He then received his medical degree at the University of Illinois where he was Class President, graduating with James Scholar Academic Honors.

Dr. Toyos lives in Brentwood with his wife and practice partner, Dr. Melissa Toyos, M.D., and their three daughters.
